Our position
Wood Lathe World respects copyright. We want the text and images on this site to be ours to use or properly credited, and we expect others to respect our work in the same way. If you believe something on the site infringes your copyright, please tell us.
Sending a takedown notice
Email your notice to legal@woodlatheworld.com. To be valid, it should include:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
- The URL on Wood Lathe World where the material appears.
- Your contact details, so we can reach you.
- A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Notices missing these items may be slower to act on, since we may need to ask for more information.
What we do with a valid notice
The Wood Lathe World Editorial Team reviews the notice. If it is valid, we remove or disable access to the material and may tell the person who supplied it. We keep the process simple and fair to both sides.
Counter-notices
If you think material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. Include the same kind of detail: identify the material and where it appeared, give your contact details, state under penalty of perjury that you believe the removal was a mistake, and sign it. We may share a counter-notice with the party who filed the original notice.
Repeat infringers
We may limit or end access for anyone who repeatedly infringes copyright.
